Women have used corsetry since the early 1500s in an attempt to sculpt the perfect hourglass figure. Using waist-training corsets will help to narrow the waist, and using our Sculptress Silicone Hip Pads will help to increase your hip dimension, improving your overall waist-to-hip ratio to get you closer to an hourglass figure.
Our hip pads are manufactured with medical-grade Echoderm silicone. Our in-house material scientists developed a silicone that matches your body temperature and conforms to your every move. The silicone is reinforced with the original Durablend edge technology. Durablend edges are paper-thin mesh material that’s seemingly invisible beneath legging and tights. It’s so thin that nobody can tell where the hip pads end and your flesh begins. The mesh reinforcement makes the hip pads extremely durable and guaranteed to not rip or tear from normal use.
Our Sculptress Silicone Hip Pads are intended to be worn beneath a body shaping garment such as our Shape ‘N Go body shaper, tights, or similar compressive garments.

Then, measure your natural hip circumference at the widest point. Find the interesection of the your waist and hip measurements on the chart above to find your size. We recommend the STANDARD length hip pads (not available in size A) as a general rule, as these have a more natural and gradual blend down the thigh. Choose a color that is closest to your skin tone, if not choose any color you’re comfortable with. Our most popular colors are Fair and Olive. There’s no need to find a color that’s a perfect match because your hip pads should be hidden beneath other layers.
Most customers choose standard length Hip Pads for fuller curves and more subtle blending. The standard length hip enhancers are the best option for outfits for long pants, dresses, and outfits with mid-thigh coverage.
The short length bodywear is for a bigger waist and was developed for that precisely, but one can also use the hip pads with shorter outfits. Consider getting short length silicone pads if you frequently wear short skirts and shorts.

Selling Tips
The most significant way to have a successful sale and to reduce returns, is to guide your customer to choose the correct size for their body to begin with. Use the sizing chart as a guide, but know that sizing is not an exact science. A person could go up a size for dramatic curves, or down a size for milder curves that are still noticeable. When engaging with your customer, you may wish to share this information with them, and allow them to guide the sizing decision. People will often say things like “I don’t want anything subtle about it” or “I just want a little extra, nothing too noticeable” which can help you in guiding them.
Sometimes you will have male customers who may be trans or crossdressers contact you. Generally speaking, size A and B hip pads are not big enough for male customers. Size C will be for male customers who are shorter/thinner (up to 150 lbs and 5′ 6″), and Size D will be for male customers who are over 150 lbs and over 5′ 6″. For male customers over 6′ and over 200 lbs, please contact us so that we can assist you with our largest size which is not available in the Skinister brand.
Returns
Dealer to Skinister returns
Skinister charges the Dealer a 15% restocking fee for returns.
End-user to Dealer returns
Sculptress Silicone Hip Pads by Skinister come packaged in a clear heat-shrink plastic. Attached is a warning label that reads:
“STOP. For hygienic reasons, this product is subject to a 15% restocking fee after removing from plastic. To avoid this fee, please contact us before opening if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!”
You, as the seller, may choose to waive your customer’s restocking fee, especially if the customer is exchanging their hip pads for a different size. Customers generally contact the seller because they want to be able to check the item for sizing without the risk of incurring the 15% restocking fee. In this event, we recommend instructing customers as follows:
“Please be extremely careful in handling the hip pads. We recommend wearing gloves the first time you try them on so as to avoid getting fingernail marks in the silicone. As long as they are returned in perfect, resalable condition, with no dirt, hair, glitter, fingernail marks etc, we will waive your restocking fee. In the event that the hip pads are received in less-than-perfect condition, you will be charged the 15% restocking fee.”
Packing for return shipping
It is imperative that hip pads be correctly packaged for return shipping to avoid damage in transit. We recommend you instruct your customers as follows:
“Please return your hip pads in the neoprene sleeve, with one hip pad on one side of the rigid white plastic board, and the other hip pad on the other side of the same board. It is important to make sure the entire hip pad fits on the board. If any part overlaps the edge of the board, it will crease in shipping and will damage the hip pads. Please do not include any of the clear plastic wrapping in the neoprene sleeve as this causes the hip pads to slide around and become creased in shipping.”
